    This may be a AH conversation more so than Work & Jobs, so feel free to mod away mods.

    What bugs me (not complaining as such) is the minute you find/get a job you are qualified to do (after 3/4 months searching), 3 or 4 offers come in the same week. May be September is a month for computer jobs (Im a software engineering graduate), but Ive honestly been offered 2 great positions with different companies, and 3 interviews for other jobs.

    anyone esle experience something like this?

    Once you have not signed any contract for the first job that is :) If you working in a very cliquise IT sector (such as in Cork) then a bad name can spread quite quickly.

    But ya, I had your same issue. As soon as I had accepted my first position, two others came up. Both had a better salary and were bigger companies, but I took the start-up option. To be honest, I'm glad I did - great exposure to many different facets and technologies.

    yeah, Im supposed to sign a contract with this company on Monday...but Im going to ask them to hold out another week so I can attend the other interviews (not going to tell them that). I actually have to sort out accomodation so that can be my excuse - not exactly lying then!
