The majority of proxys get blocked after only a few days of usage. The college watches peoples accounts and i guess lectures also keep an eye out to see how people evade the bans.

The majority of "good proxies" are banned. You can set one up yourself if you got web-space somewhere with PHP support. The poor ones are the ones that are very slow and not worth talking about

Just try googling web proxies and try a few of them. Its a far slower way of looking at bebo.

Also if your trying to find someone check out bigulo.com which lets you search for people on bebo.

College blocks any page refering to "proxy", "proxie", "proxys" or "proxies" (ie proxy related keywords) so results of a Google Search are useless. >/

not if you click on the cached version of the web page in google, you can then view the page to look up things

Hmm, I probably shouldn't help people to be accessing BeBo at the college, that site annoyed me to no end with every PC being taken up by people using BeBo when I had projects to complete ¬_¬

But, I really couldnt care less anymore, I do all my work on my mactop and PC. Since the college still uses WebSence, bypassing it is trivial as they only use URLs to block sites. Unless they switch to something better, then there is little they can do other then monitoring access and blocking accordingly. But if you setup a proxy on a PC outside the college on a dynamic IP, then its next to impossible to keep it blocked as the address would keep changing..
