    They Live is hilarious.. so over the top! A lesson in not-engaging.

    - Nice stuff in the "Bourne" films
    - Always though the fight scene in "Brigdet Jones Diary" was the most like you'd see on a Satruday in Dublin
    - My own fave are anything in any Kurasawa film.... swords, realtime, no wires, many arranged by classical sword-fifgthing teachers. Nice bit of striking/Ju-jutsu in Kurasawa's "Red Beard".

    - "Twilight Samurai" has 3 excellent fights with jujutsu and swordsmanship.
    - I thought "Braveheart" was pretty good too. Also the close quarters stuff in "Saving Private Ryan" was well done. And De Niro shows some nice moves in "Heat".

    Er, "King Arthur" really should have had AMAZING fight scenes but they cut all my parts out.. except when i launched that fireball. Too real!

    Bruce Lee V CHuck Norris in way of the Dragon. A classic fight scene.
    In a film called Ghost dog there's a scene where a man tries to sneak up on an old guy to mug him. The old guy turns out to be a martial artist and bang! disarms him and kicks him in the blink of an eye. The fights over in a split second but it's great to watch.

    Has anyone seen "Fearless" with Jet Li?

    There is a great fight scene up on about a 60ft platform,
    where Jet Li's character fights the towns local champion.
    He (challenger - not Jet Li) ends up falling from the 60ft
    fighting ring to the ground. "Nasty fall" but ends up ok!

    Mind you he did break his fingers, hands and ribs in the fight.

    Legendary Movie which isn't getting much acknowledgement.

    There is also a great fight later on in the movie when Jet Li
    fights "Nathan Jones" (7ft Giant from the Movie Troy and previously
    known as a wrestler in the WWE).

    Also worth a mention is District 13.

    The parkour is very slick and the fights are pretty well done with plenty of knees and elbows thrown in for good measure.

    I can't believe nobody has mentioned Lee V O'Hara from Enter the Dragon.
    To me that is the most Iconic fight scene in movie history. The choreography superb, timing, and Rhythm unmatched. I'll never forget the look on Williams (Jim Kelly) face as Lee unleashed the final roundhuse to reall end the fight It was a look of pure disbelief as if to say, this guy is absolutely amazing

    Cape Fear has a very good fight scene. It's the one where Max Cady ( Robert De Niro ) is attacked by two thugs in a parking lot, Very realistic.
    Also Charles Bronson's movie Hard Times has some excellent bare knuckle scenes

    I am hearing even more of my favourite fight scenes...if you guys know any links [youtube.com etc] please port them The Charles Bronson movie were he's a bare knuckle boxer was remade....as AWOL with Van Damme...the changed the characters background to explain away his accent...as they do in nearly all his movies....

    It's a great and very rare movie to find...

    The car wash scene in "Black Belt Jones"
    Also the scene where they keep flicking the lights on and off - daft but fun. Best hair in a martial arts film too.

    Also, any of the fights from "The Streetfighter" (The one with Sonny Cheeba, not Van Damme)

    Bladey fav = "yojimbo" by Akira Kurosawa, Toshirô Mifune is the man! a close second would be the palanquin scene in "sword of doom".

    The dance scene in Kickboxer is one of the best ever. Watch the dude who breaks the glass. It essentially a shot glass so he ends up with a handful of glass more than a weapon... hysterical.
