iMac G5 - which hard disk?

    Hi all,

Well the hard drive on my iMac G5 (Rev. B) decided to pack it in the other day. No amount of using Disk Utility or Disk Warrior could sort out its problems. Luckily on the Rev. B it's a swappable part!

I was wondering if anybody could advise as to what replacement (and compatible) hard drive to get? Also, any pointers as to where to purchase it would be very welcome.

    Many thanks in advance :D

most of the apple drives are either seagate or maxtor in the g5's so any of these brands sata drives will do the job, can you fire it up in target firewire mode, if you can you may be able to retrieve your data, as for replacing the drive it is a doddle on any of the pre intel machines as its a simple case of removing the rear casing.
