Try the printworks. Its a fake street inside an old warehouse with loads of restaurants, pubs and clubs. There are also some nice bars at Deansgate locks. Hope thats of some help!

If you fancy doing some shopping head for the Trafford Centre. http://www.traffordcentre.co.uk/ you can drive out to it and there is also a tram/bus link to it. Printworks is good area. Good cinema there. And if you feel nostalgic after your 2-days away, you can get red lemonade and tatyos in Waxy O'Connors Irish bar.

Your resident exile in Manc here, let me know what stuff or stuff you would like to do or stuff you are into and I should be able to point you in the right direction

Head out to Salford Quays and do some shopping in the outlet store there, then catch a flick in the Warner Brothers Cinema!!

You can then do a tour of Old Trafford!!
