Bill Clements is a Michigan bass player with one arm (or at least one hand). Fortunately, it's his left arm, and he's exceptionally good at playing jazz bass with that it (and a bandanna tied around the neck to stop notes ringing on).

That's impressive. Oddly enough though, when I was practicing playing legato, I also tied a bandana around the neck.

Similar case in Django Reinhardt, trully spectacular jazz guitarist, but only two fingers on his fretting hand!!!! He was in a fire when he was young, so his baby and ring fingers were shrivelled up and unusable. He's gotta be heard to be believed.

Django's where it's at as far as guitar acrobatics goes.
