The commet is indeed in Santry and a good 20+ minute walk from DCU. It's about half that from Shanowen. On the upside, the Slipper is quite nice and right outside DCU's Ballymun road gate.

My (completely unfounded) guess would be that they might not be able to get bar extensions so the bar would close at 11.30 most nights but would operate normally apart from that.

Pretty awful if it does happen though. I mean, you guys are going to have to start drinking at 4.30 every day to make up your allotted drinking hours

The real hardcore DCU heads spend their night locked in the playground in the park behind the Hub... And the even more hardcore set their alarms at 7:30, pick themselves off the grass and walk to work, covered in grass.

apparently the old bar isn't going to be open until 5 in the evening. trying to turn the new bar into the main bar. they'll be doing food all day and all night i think. thats all depending on them getting their license back.

no €3 drinks.

but the slipper are starting student nights with €3 drinks, drinks promo's and apparently a dance floor upstairs.

great, the slipper is gonna have all the shams up there now, if it isnt 3 euro a drink in the bar at all this year there gonna go under
