Renaming drives

    hi,

    i'm running windows xp sp2.

    i've got an external hard drive and it used to be drive J: but it's now drive F:, does anyone know how to change it back to J:?

    Click Start - Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Computer Management.

    Under the Storage heading you'll find Disk Management.

    Right click on your F drive, click "Change Drive Letter And Paths". Click the Change button, select J, OK yourself out of there.

    It should remember next time.

    If there's a shorter way I'm sure someone will provide it.
