hello. i'm a 20 year old college student/musician from south dublin. i'd be interested in playing a unique, original group and gigging.

    experience:

i've been playing piano for 11 years, bass for 6, and i've been bashing around on guitar for about 2 with no real results. :D

i've gigged around the usual spots in dublin, dorans, sugar club and others pubs and crap. in fact, i spent the last year with a band where we headlined on a monthly basis and who did lots of radio spots and a tiny bit of tv promotion. turned out to be a waste of time... i have recording experience and i like to mess around recording piano sometimes too. (www.myspace.com/conanplays)

    gear:

    ibanez soundgear500
    washburn xb-500 5 string
    vintage fretless
    gibson sg
    milkbox compressor
    ibanez sb7 synth pedal
    boss loopstation
    casio privia px-300
crappy force 30w (soon to be replaced)

    influences:

    here's a bunch:

harold budd, anthony manning, herbie hancock, chick corea, jaco pastorius, marcus miller, stanley clarke, victor wooten, bela fleck and the flecktones, miles davis, weather report, thelonious monk, parliament/funkadelic, frank zappa, dream theater, deep purple, trivium, killswitch, beastie boys, liquid tension experiment, joy division, the smiths, morrissey, chopin, liszt, buckethead, danzig, the datsuns, the darkness =D, interpol, iron maiden, larry graham, neil young, pantera, ray charles, richard strauss, RHCP, radiohead, rolling stones, sonic youth, bill evans, bob dylan, hawksley workman, brian jonestown massacre, janis joplin

    what i'll say no to:

15/16 year olds forming metal/hard rock covers bands
bands that follow the "intro-verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-chorus to fade" routine exclusively
    any pop-punk
    *boring* indie

    what i'll say yes to:

    unique/original indie
    clever music
    funky music
a band with an ironed out plan that i fit into

hit me with a pm or something if you need me.

last bump and i'll call it a night.

last chance for anyone interested, send me a pm if you're writing interesting original music or if there's a paying slot in a covers band.

    cheers.

For somone who has been playing piano for 11 years, you're VERY sloppy. I mean - listen to the intro of "Down" - wtf is that droning mess?

*mod edit* Larry David banned for personal abuse.
