Insufficient credit left on your viewing card?

    Quick question.

Just went to order the United v Spurs game, came up with "There is insufficient credit left on your viewing card - ring some number".

Anyone come across this before, I have the box plugged into a working phone line, thanks in advance.

The Sky box dials back to Sky central every so often to report what films/ppv you have purchased. If it can't, for whatever reason, it continues allowing you to purchase up to a certain limit. It used to be 50 Euro, not sure what it is now.

So, what has happened with you is that the box hasn't been able to connect to Sky and you have ordered ppv up to the limit of the card. The solution is to get the Sky box to dial Sky, but I'm not sure how you can do that manually.

There is a system test (Not sure if it Setup or Installer menu). It tests Modem / Phone connection.

I don't know whether this could be connected to your problem or not, but on Friday last, SKY rang me to tell me that, due to a technical error on their part, I was never billed on my Credit Card for the PremPlus Season Ticket I ordered last May and that she was now seeking my permission & Credit Card details to process the payment now (€70). She said she was having to do this with quite a lot of customers.

She was very nice and gave me the opportunity to confirm this with my credit card company and that she'd ring me back later. I checked, and she was indeed correct, they never put it on my bill. She rang back at exactly the time she said she would and processed the payment then.

She said if I hadn't agreed to do so, I may not get to see Saturday's games. Perhaps this is what happened to the Original Poster but they never got around to ringing you yet and this is their way of dealing with it ?

EDIT :- Apologies, I just re-read the original post and see that you were only ordering that game on its own. Sorry again !

Interesting, I ordered my Prem Plus season ticket in June I think, via the red button. I have no problem watching the games at present but after reading the previous post I checked my Visa statements and it seems I was not charged either. I'll wait for them to ring me.

This has happened me too. If you fail to pay your bill and have to get your viewing switched back on you can't order through the remote till you pay the next bill.
