Cheap London hotels?

Hi, have booked a trip to London at the end of October. Does anyone know any cheap hotels over there in an okay area (i.e an area where we most likely won't get stabbed!)? And what area would be the best to stay in for a few students who want to go clubbing, pub crawling etc? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

For the end of October you will find plenty to choose from on www.laterooms.com - book now and you should find a good deal.
