Motorbikes and speeding

I know this might sound obvious to some of you but i was talking to a friend during the week who was done by the Gardai for speeding. (they had speed gun) he was fined and given a ticket.

The gas thing was that he seemed to believe that the cops couldnt pick up bikes on speed cameras/guns!! I asked a few other mates of mine, and some thought the same.

So there you go!

Mad. Yes indeed they can, as I found out myself once! The words, barrel, shooting and fish come to mind. :rolleyes: Maybe installing a mirror on the front of your bike might help

Or put aluminium fairings on your bike then hammer them into a stealth fighter shape

Amazing what some people will believe, I think people start these stories in the pub for the laugh. Like the one about hanging a CD in your truck window, or keying in a funny code into your Nokia phone (that was back in the 5110 days!) which would somehow render you immune to radar waves.

chap down the pub toled me that mirrored visors reflect radar waves....

the reason radars dont pick up bikes is because if your clever youll be on the otherside of a van as you pass the happy coppers

When I see a radar gun I usually drive up between 2 cars and stay there until I pass. To this day I've never been caught. Not that i speed or anything
