It's pretty much a repeat, no? They may have slipped in a few new bits (some parts I couldn't remember seeing before), but the rest has all been shown before...

has he not been in the states doing loads of new stuff for the past year. I heard his jew jokes are not going down well, even though he is jewish himself.

Yeah, a lot of it seems to be a repeat of his previous stuff and I think Sasha Baron Cohen should just put the Ali G character to bed at this stage. Having said that, there were one or two very good (and controversial! ) moments in last night's show. In particular the Borat segment where he went around finding out about the American electoral process. He met up with some guy who was running for the US Senate and asked him his opinions on various things and he seemed to come across as one of those very staunch, religious, Christian, Bible-basher types. This was where probably the most controversial moment occured. Went something along the lines of this:

Borat: "So, you believe in heaven and hell then, yes?"

Wannabe Senator: "As a Christian, yes, of course I do."

Borat: "So, how you get to heaven then?"

Wannabe Senator: "Well, the Bible says that if you live a good life and follow the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ and the Christian way of life, then you'll go to heaven when you die."

*I'm spoilering this next bit for people who haven't seen the show yet*

    Borat:
"But, what about the peoples who are, how you say, of the Jews? Do they go to heaven or hell?"

    Wannabe Senator:
"Ummm, I would have to say they go to hell."

I bet that statement didn't go down well with a large number of people in the States! ;) Wonder did he still get elected to the Senate after saying that? :D
