I am resigned to getting sky for the Heineken cup games. Can anyone tell me what sky sports channel they are on?

Do I have to get setanta sports seperately for the Celtic League games?

afraid so, you dont have to get specific channels when you get the sports package with sky you get the 3 sports channels. You have to pay extra for sentanta on Sky, Dont know how much. NTL give Sentanta for free so that might be worth a look

You can watch alot of the celtic/magners league games involving welsh teams on BBC 2 Wales, which you can programme into your sky box quite easily, just get the specific frequencies off the BBC web site, Also you can see Welsh Magners matches on S4C which comes as part of the basic sky package. But outside of that, yep you'll have to get Setanta. Also an added bonus of the Setanta packakge is you get to see the French Championnat games, which might ease the pain of having to fork out a bit.....

For example you can watch Dragons V Ulster on S4c at 5:10 this evening,the commentary is in welsh though...

The subscription to setanta is 180 pa, or if you are a member of the MRSC then you get €27 off that.
I may also subscribe because setanta also has the RWC 07.

NTL would be worth a look..we have the most basic package and have all sky sports' and setanta

Wow, does that mean Sky does not have the RWC 07? Or is it being shared between the channels?

While i dont like paying for anything i have to admit that sky do a good job of covering the HC, they show nearly all the games over 3/4 days. And the free version of satanta with NTL is great as well for french rugby

I'd second that. Sky's coverage of the Heineken Cup/Guiness premiership is excellent and if you're really into rugby its worth every penny. For the more casual fan maybe its a little expensive, but i couldnt manage without it. Given what I get for my money and the fact that I've also got an inexplicable weakness for League I've got no complaints. I dont see an FTA service being able to come close to the level of coverage.

Not 100% on this but didn't Setanta pick up the rights to the NRL ahead of Sky from next season?
