im done for a while, if I play at the moment I think Im likely to piss away every penny ive made this year.

my goal at the start of the year was to make 150k online, at the moment im20k above that and I think if I continue to play im likely to piss every cent up the wall so this is me signing off for the time being. I wont be online as it seems difficult to get a new account, and I know its ridiculous but im srperstitious and think my current account is jinxed. Ill be giving the forum a miss for a bit so good night and good luck for a while.

I had hoped to make 300k online after sudh a good first 6 months, this year but despite running close to it for a while I feel I will be the value in any game I play at the moment.

The strongest part of my game for the last 3 years ive been playing high stakes is that I never tilt, I can honestly say if I played now I would be 100% tilt monkey, its hard for me to say that but its true.

    Good Luck To All

    Eoin

You'll be back! Best of luck Eoin. IMO you should still play some decent buy-in live MTTs; you were far and away the best player I met in the team event a few weeks ago. I reckon if you take a break and just play the odd MTT, you'd take down a big cash due to freshness/(crazyness!).

It's good to take a break for a while. I did so for most of july but kept avidly reading articles here and thinking about my game while i was on this break. I found myself hungrier and better prepared than ever before for the game upon return. You probably are just badly in need of a break to get that edge back.

Seriously Eoin, take a break, get you're head right and stay in touch. I think everyone goes through a phase like this.

best of luck with the break. Been on a big one myself and currently rebuilding a roll, fresh as a daisy, so far so good. Away time from the game for me was 2 months. I'm sure you'll be back sooner

To all me freinds ive made whilst playing, I wish good luck, to all my freinds through circumstance I hope we figure it out.

    Bollox to that m8.

Take a proper break, take up scrapbooking or the like for 3 months then come back and play some live poker.

It would be a shame to see live poker lose such a talent (sod that interweb poker rubbish).

    Dont do it............

See you in the SE ;):D

Are you mad, sure you won 5k 2 weeks ago. Move down a few levels on the cash tables and start playing more STT and MTT's as you need to learn how to enjoy the game again and forget about the money, the levels you play focus more on the money than the enjoyment and passion of poker.

Dont give it up now, you have a great talent and should enjoy the game, I bet you'll win a EPT or something big and we'll be laughing at you for this bul**** retirement crapppp.

take 2-3K of your winnings buy yourself something REAL nice, and take enough time out of poker to remember the thrill of it.
