Bound to be a typo, someone thought they hit a "2" at the beginning of that when they didnt.

I remember nearly ejaculating into my monitor screen upon seeing what looked like a reasonable 3 bed ex corpo gaff on Daft in Rathfarnham for 70,000.

Until i told my mam and she brought me back to sense by pointing out someone probably thought theyd hit the "6" key when they really hadnt.

It's not a typo. I love Limerick, and I'll defend Limerick when I hear most of the rubbish about the place but nothing would persuade me to live in O'Malley Park. It's one of the 3 estates that are the cuase of 90% of the trouble in Limerick.

Trust me mate €55,000 for a house in O'malley is overvalued.

Seen one in Raheen Square in Weston for 57,000 its been on the market for donkeys years, you better off going for that one.

If you leave them alone , they will leave you alone.

by the way, the one in weston is three bedroom, fully done up, I viewed it. but didn't buy it as the part of the family I don't talk to own half of raheen square already.

Find out if the o malley house is at the top or bottom of the hill.

bottom is OK if you leave your neighbours alone, top of the hill you will have a well known traveller family droping by to visit your girlfriend while your at work.

It's probably a genuine price. I remember seeing a 3 bed semi detached in Limerick about a year ago and it was selling for just 35k.. Apparently the owners couldn't sell it as it was in such a bad area that nobody wanted it. I'm from Finglas and even I didn't like the look of this particular house. Theres something strangely comforting about living nextdoor to gangsters you know rather than being a lone Dub in the middle of Limerick gangsters I don't know.

Anyway, if you go for it, you'll have plenty of spare cash to invest in your stab proof vest and bullet proof windows, just be careful who you open the door to. ;)

Buy it and use the spare money to rent yourself a Keanu Reeves.

Alternatively you could buy it and rent it to an O'malley resident. someone who is living with their family.

    off topic I know ...but
I thought that was just an over done rumour ? Was there ever any proof it actually happened ?

It happened. I know the girl who had to type up the report for the guards. The guy in question should be shot.

I thought that all the neighbours in areas like O'Malley Park were 'the salt of the earth' and there would be a 'great community spirit' there.

At least that's the impression I get when I read in the Irish Times about trendy graphic designers buying properties in 'authentic' parts of inner city Dublin. You know the type - they think 'the suburbs are boring and are full of boring people'.

O' Malley is generally decent folk but the bad element are the worst you will see anywhere they make the Scum of the Earth look like the Teletubbies. Most of what you hear about this place is true, believe me I used to live there and still have relatives in the area and if you don't already live there there is no point even thinking about it you will be run/burnt out - there are people there who decide if they want you to live there. Weston/Prospect is actually a pretty OK place I have relatives there too and they've never had any problems.

Oh - and the only graphic designers you'll find there are the type who use spray cans!!!
