putter grip

    i just purchased a putter grip online for my yes putter. it said it comes with instructions and tape, can i remove the current grip and fit the new one myself or do i bring it to a shop?

    Depends on what kind.... Rubber =sharp stanley knife.....Wrap grip= nick the lower end and unpeel.....

    I was more thinking about the legality of it rather than the physical end.

    I am presuming the one you got is like a wrap around one?

    If in doubt a local pro would do it for a small fee I'm sure

    neither are wrap around im sure but i am waiting on the arrival of the new one. it comes with double sided tape to fit it i think.

    Slice off the old one with a stanley knife. Clean off the old tape, apply the new tape and remove the backing.
    Dip the tape in white spirits and put some inside the grip, slosh it around and pour out. Then slide the grip onto the shaft.

    You have loads of time to align it properly when its on. To finish, tap the butt end of the grip on the floor to make sure the grip is on fully. Simple as that
