Buying A Gaming Computer

Where is decent place to buy a gaming computer. We've had huge problems with Dell's customer support so it looks like we will be getting our money back and going elsewhere. I would like to build it myself, however as it's a family PC and I won't be living there, that's not really an option. I need somewhere that will do a good gaming pc, good tech support, and is an established company.

Sheesh...that's a tall order tbh. I honestly can't think of anywhere off the top of my head (seeing as alienware is now dell owned), but that's probably just because it's friday evening and I had a bad nights sleep.

Komplett, can pick every component yourself & they'll build it.
Post what your thinkin of here & peeps here will advise, or give us your needs & budget & we'll put list together 2 suit.
    Good luck.

Im going to have to agree here, even though you live in Ireland. Their customer support is amazing.

komplett are fairly limiting though to the parts you can place inside their build.

If you decide to choose Mesh to build your machine, I'd advise you to google them re customer support, refunds, faulty machines, etc. You'll be surprised to find many unhappy customers waiting 6 months or more for refunds etc. I built my a gaming machine with Komplett and cannot fault them, they use top quality components and are very competitivly priced :)

I agree some guy bought a €3000 Mesh PC and it got mangled in transit so he brought it to us to get it fixed, but it was ruined so Mesh replaced it :)

And Ankermann are great too if your not building yourself...

No company is perfect, but 90% of the time mesh's customer support are a great help if you are clear and concise about what problem you are having. People I know in England have had techs out within a day to try to find the fault. Ireland takes longer, but thats the price you pay. Still better than Dell though.I had one friend have his x800 replaced 5 times before they decided that mabey something might be damaging his graphics card, then tried to pin the blame on him. Its was nearly 3 months downtime on his pc.

But I dont blame the people in Dell customer support they just follow Dell policy. I should know I live with 2 of them. And lets not forget the fact that a large majority of their calls deal with people who can barely turn on the Pc's they have bought.

you will always see people complaining, but rarely do you see people praising companies. well you do but you see a lot more complains than praises...

I have no problems with the people, it's Dell's ridiculous policies. It's going to be a problem with such a large company, especially when they don't have full trust in their different departments dealing with certain complaints. And then when the problem gets bigger and bigger it's shuffled around different countries and different departments. Oh well.

I'll probably have about €2200 to spend, but that's for an entire system. PC, monitor, speakers, software and support. So what could I get for that? And should I go for a self build I'd keep back €300 or so for future problems.

Yeah use Komplett. Make sure you pick it with the expert options. Slightly more choice of parts.
