    sorry google didnt help as much as i hoped. cud someone briefly let me no what steps need to be taken to set up as a sole trader?

    Fill in a TR1 form the Revenue.ie and bobs your uncle.

    If you want to use a business name other than one that contains your surname then you must regsiter this with the CRO.ie (Company Registration Office)

    Its advisable that you set up a seperate bank account for your business, and maintain stringent records for preparation of accounts and taxes relevant such as vat and paye including Income Tax
