I went in to the Photvision roadshow today and had a great time. Some great tips on photshop were to be had so I have been trying to apply the little I can remember.Let me know what you think.I used a conversion and a sharpening method on this that I had never heard of before.Thanks.:)
    Anyone else go in?

Right, well, easier said than done Danny. The fella that was there today was called Guy Gowan and he was simply amazing.I got to chat to him for about half an hour on my own and he was really very friendly and informative.Basically,it's all in the channels.I'm still struggling with it myself, but the sharpening, involves creating a mask with the channels so that you only sharpen what you want. But you can sharpen it crazy amounts. That pic there is sharpened at Amount 300 radius 1.2 and Threshold 0.You know yourself if you apllied that normally the image would look manky, but this way,you achieve really great sharpening to only the areas you want. The balck and white conversion was done using calculations.I have to say it was a great seminar on Photoshop and I'm delighted i went.

Thanks anyway bobby, but like yourself, borders are really only a last minute thought.I'm not too pushed about them they are merely for the web.Was anyone else there today?

Great pictures conmike, I caught the end of his lecture and I was lost but got a bit o the gist. It all seemed to be about masking and using the mask to effect the original picture.
