No sure if anyone has had this before. Can't remember when it started but recently I can't rip a CD to library through WMP10. I get this annoying message. And no, the web help does not help. Says there is no information available at this time. Don't know what it means by playlists as i don't actually have any custom playlist. Well thanks in advance for your advice and help.

there seems to be a small number of people getting "error COOD119B" while ripping but I can't find any solution

Yes. There was one solution mentioned somewhere which basically involved deleteing the WMP10 folders and carving it out of the registry, but seems a little draconian to me (for now)! Damn!

If you can't be bothered doing that, I reckon you should use something else to rip your CDs to be honest. I find WMP to be a bit unreliable, though quite functional.

A full list of error codes can be found at this link.

If you click the webhelp it should give the error code ID and hopefully you can match it to one of the above and find out whats wrong.

Though strangely the error code generalmiaow mentioned is missing even though there are codes very similar to it that go from A-D weird.

You know where WMP rips to the folder you have specified (My Music by default) try looking in there & seeing if any playlist files are present and manually delete them, that's my best guess.

Failing that try installing WMP11 or doing a system restore.

just use winamp, or dbpoweramp. I find them a bit quicker

Yep. That code is missing. Cos M$ have no help for it! Stupid M$ I'll try WMP11 anyways. I have an image of the main HD, I'll boot that up and see does it work, then compare registry and file differences if it does. See can i narrow it down.

Anti - Ya I've had to rip a few with CD master! And i have myriad of other apps that will have to do till I get this sorted. I alkso might try updating WMP10 first and see will that help. ;)

Solution is Go to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\DRM

    and delete the contents.
    Ripped fine then.
    :p;)
