Is there such a thing as an STB which can take the tessestrial signal and also a satellite signal and display the channels. I don't think what i have is actually legal but i have a reconditioned sky box with the mini satelite and a card i got in a satelite magazine which allows me receive FTA and FTV content (bbcs, itv, channel 4, channel 5, etc etc).

So basically is there a bow which can take the multiple inputs and arrange the channels so they are on the same listing. BBC 1 currently 101. Could i make the box put RTE 1 in say one of the empty slots?

To put it quite simply, no.

You can get DTT+DSAT units that would let you combine the truely FTA channels with the DTT channels if you are in range, but none of these support Sky cards for C4+C5, and there are absolutely no analogue terrestrial + digital satellite units. There -are- TV's with analogue satellite built in, mind :P

There are a few, very rare TV's - mostly technisat - with integrated DSAT also but again, no Sky; barring some Panasonics that no longer work right, and they don't number them on the same list.

The one possibility, for DSAT+DTT is a Dreambox. You can get one with a DTT tuner and a DSAT tuner and there is a version of the Dreambox firmware that will decode VideoGuard (NDS) with a valid Sky Card. It should work for C4 & C5 with no problems but it may not update the cards keys meaning you would need to stick it in a Skybox over night. Also, since the NDS support was a hack of sorts, no guarentees that it will still work for you the next day. But, C4 and C5 will eventually go FTA (probably in 2 years when their contract is up with Sky).

There is of course nothing illegal with using an FTV card for C4 and C5 likewise there is nothing illegal with using a hacked NDS CAM to decode, ONLY the channels that have a subscription or are FTV, just like a standard Sky box would do.

Reelbox works on Irish DTT and Satellite. It also records to disk and lets you archive disk using internal dual layer writer.

Kaon press button to swap between DTT/Satellite. Two lists.
Not Irish sold TVs, but the basically similar HD model in UK often has DTT tuner, analog tuner and Sat tuner.

A few TVs have HDD recording, DTT and Digital Sat.

There was a Digital TV with Sky built in. Forget which model / make.

Topfield also do a DTT/Sat digital combo, PVR and basic box versions.

You mean a CAM emulating NDS CAM. Not a hacked "NDS CAM".

And we are only talking about legitimate cards that only do what you paid for. Which if you do this could indeed become bookmarks tomorrow.
