    Hey all,

I've finally made my mind up to go to Berlin and work my way down the rest of Europe from there over the next few months, but ill be arriving in Berlin on the 26th/09 so does anyone know of a well located, cheap and safe hostel there???

I've been looking into them but so far there have been a lot of them priced between 20 and 30 € per night which i find kind of expensive for a hostel...but then found on efor 11 € a night and am wondering if it's going to be a **** hole or will my bags be really unsafe there??

also any tips on where to go there, what to do & what to see in Berlin and all over europe would be reallllly apreciated!!!thanks:)

Nme the hostel. I sayed in the Generator for that much, but that was sharing with three others...

Work in Berlin is a bit scarce at the moment, you have been warned! BEsides that, I'm as jealous as hell - enjoy!!

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Berlin is good. I stayed in three little pigs hostel, it was cheap enough, less than €15, near enough to the centre aswell. Go on the free walking tour of Berlin, it's well worth it. The guided pub crawl is interesting aswell.

I think theres a hostel near Hackesher Markt. It's meant to be good, but I was kipping at a mate's so I didn't pay attention. An alternative would be to book an apartment, they're cheap. Especially if you're with a group.

Berlin is fun, eat kebabs. Spent most of my time in the East, between Prenzlauer Berg and Friedrichshein. Lots of squats, and interesting stores around. But it's a weird city, no centre.

As for jobs. Good luck. With 20% unemployment, you'll find it hard to get a job, but it's a cheap city.

cool thanx for that lads, i have to say that i'll have to rethink i few things cause i was stupid enough to take one person's word on it and thought there were plenty of jobs to be had...Brilliant to get the heads up on that seriously!

so yeah might just stay a few weeks there and head on somewhere for the jobs then...

ok any other comments/adivce/tips are still welcome!!!
    cheers
