Recording Streaming Audio

    Hi,

I am trying to record a streaming clip from RTÉ. Basically, I want to be able to listen to this clip later, in my own time, on my iPod. There is no facility on the site to download and save the file. What is the easiest way to do this? Does Realplayer have a facility for this? All I can find is a way of saving the playlist which is no good.

    Thanks for the help,

Any half decent audio application (such as Goldwave) should be able to record what's being output from the sound card. I've done this quite a few times using various different sound cards and have never had a problem.

I picked an app in PC World called Web Radio. I think it was €12 (but not sure). It is a pretty neat piece of software. I set it to record a show I like on a station in VA in the US every night and listen to it in the car on the way to work.

It has whole list of stations and you can add your own. It can then burn the show to CD or other media.

I bought it in Carrickmines. It is on a stand beside the Bargain Shelves.

    You could try Audacity.

Dont mean to hijack the post but what about recording the archived video programs such as Prime time?
