Pinhole photography

Well, some of you may already know about it, but I found out about it today in college, and I think it's amazing!

It's called pinhole photography, and it's very easy to do! You can even build your own camera out of a shoebox!

Well worth checking out! You need photographic paper, which you can get online etc, and you need to be able to develop.. If you have access to this, I highly recommend it!

I started last last Tuesday, kinda after it'd already started, missed it by a couple days, but they didn't seem to cover too much while I wasn't there. If you're looking for one now, I'd recomend it..

It's a basic qualification in photography, and you can use it as a portfolio for either NCAD or DIT..

Although I've seen your flickr, and I'd say you're well able to make your own portfolio for them anyway..

Wez if you have a digital SLR you can do pinhole photography with it, the results can be pretty good. Heres an article explaning the techinique.

You can use film too, it's easier to work with if you can't access a darkroom. You can make a pinhole camera with anything, I have one made from a matchbox and I love it. You could probably make one from a frozen chicken if you tried.

Yeh Shrimp, I'm gonna set one up soon enough, I've been using photobucket, but flickr has a nicer finish.. I'm planning on going to NCAD next year if all goes well in Stillorgan. I'm tempted to head up and check out the campus, just to see what it's like.. Let me know how you find it!
