$50 hu Master on PPP ?

So 1 of the few strengths of my game is HU Poker i have only ever lost once when getting to HU in MTT and that was when dude had 10-1 in chips advantage on me

So occasionally i play HU on PPP or Party and i have a 80%+ win rate over 600 games at various levels

Usually when my BR for 2-4 gets low i sit down at some 50 hu games to get it back up

I probably should play more HU than I do but i find it a little boring

So last night I met an old nemesis the 1 guy i have trouble beating even though he is I believe possibly the worst hu player of all time

    So 6 $50 games in a row 6 victorys for Sh1thead
quick synapsis he open raises to 350 every hand
    Game 1 hand 1
he raise to 350 i push he calls with 35os

Game 2 hand 4 he raises to 350 i push he calls with 22

Game 3 hand 1 i call with JJ
Flop Q7x we get all in he has A7

Game 4 hand 2 push called with A2 against KK

Game 5 hand 5 push called with t6

Game 6 hand 1 push called with q3

So in majority of these hands i have pushed with random overcards and PPs and bar the 22 i have been roughly 65-70% fav and for his call he is getting roughly 1.35/1.5-1

Is there any logic to this guys game?
Is this a big enough edge or should i just avoid this guy?
My head says i should follow him around but this is the 2nd similar session i have had with this guy maybe there is some weird twisted game plan here

Yeah im pretty sure ive played this guy in the past in $50 and $100 HU games and he's terrible. But you want to be playing him.

Although i agree what you say about despite him being so bad you can have trouble beating him. I tend to call his raises to try to hit and if you hit anything its payday. If you miss a couple of times you have to just adapt the exact style as him.

However awesome you are (and you must be pretty talented to have 80% record in HU SNGs) you can't have an 80% chance against this guy like this. 60% chance or so is plenty especially if the games are relatively short, you would have an expectation of +$10/table/15 minutes or so which is a lot.

80% record at HU!!! and you only play occasionally.

I thought most occasional HU players played HU when they were bored with folding 20 hands in a row in a ring game or SnG.

i love playing the fools who make mad over raises pre in levels 1 and 2, they are so easy to pick, let him have a few small blinds, and they nail him when u get something decent.
(i played a HU tourney once on stars, played 31 hands, lost 29 of them and had the thing wrapped in b4 level 2)

does he raise from any position? Whats he do when you raise your button? What does he do on the flop, will he keep firing bets if he misses?

I find the best way against people like that is to bet less often, just check call down reasonable hand. Call preflop with decent hands, let him have most of the blinds.

I'm coming round to enjoying HU since the Boards HU championships (which I only entered to force me to play more HU and improve that so I can play more HU at the end of tournaments...). I still think it has a lot of luck in it because its less about the kicker and more about the top card and hitting, but certainly there is a skill to it that I have yet to master and I find it more enjoyable now.

As for this guy, why in God's name wouldnt you want to play him over and over and over again!

Do you really have an 80% win rate? I dont want to doubt you but thats extreme and also very round, leading me to believe it might be an estimate rather then based on records...

    80%+
81% on PPP 87% on party 73% on FT(some HU horse dragging this down )

Why dont i play the more often ?
There is a lot of hanging around at 50 and 100 waiting for players and they are near impossible to multitable

plus i find them quite boring i get more enjoyment playing a 6-max game

he raises from small blind and i never raise from my small blind as i know i can call re-raise all in with hands i want to raise

Well as stated in post my head says i should follow him around but this is two kickings i have got from him this one was particularily bad
I am trying to understand is there any merit to his play i cant see it but when he is motoring it is hard to play
so assuming he can avoid the op to 2 undercards say he is playing Ak vs 35 he is not that far behind the odds he is getting from the pot and usually unless this is first hand he is still alive albeit barely.

If i call and miss once when we next get to a push he is looking at calling 1200ish to win 1900ish which whie bad is not terrible

plus as a very aggresive HU player i do find it hard to play passively

Mike, sign this man up for the Ireland v G Britain HU Challenge rematch. He's clearly different gravy to the clowns you had on the Ireland team for the last international! ;)
