    Hi,

I am really desperate to start a training course in aperture, shutter speeds, lighting etc.

I have been using digital photograpy for a long time on automatic but i really would like to master manual settings.

Any info/advise would really be appreciated.

    Colm

I'm based in Clara, Co. Offaly. I am actually willing to travel but would prefer to stay out of the Big Smoke i.e. Dublin.

Have you tried contacting your local camera club? They'll no doubt have contacts or a list of courses you could attend

I don't think there are any local camera clubs here in Offaly???????

I recall a poster in the past saying this course is a bit deated because it still has a big emphasis on non-digital.

Just looking to see has anyone done this course in the past and if so have what is their thoughts on it?

What Bob Morrison doesnt know about photography isnt worth knowing. Try it for a while.

Or you could always try one of our meet ups for a crash course :), we're only a few thousand a lesson ;)
Not sure if there was ever a midlands photo meet though.
Do you just want to get into photography in general or is there a specific area you are interested in? Like wildlife for example?

Yes i really am interested in Wildlife Photography. If i had a good camera over the years i could have an amazing portfolio. Well anyway i have a really nice camera at last and i work in the field every day so hoping to make up for all those years of having no proper camera.

Thanks for the Mullingar info i think ill try this.

Any other info would be appreciated also.
