Very nice Shrimp, beautiful location and nice vignetting too. I like the way the hill on the left intersects with the one on the right drawing my eye along it. Good start :)

So will you be making the move to SLR?
I like the picture, feels a bit dark maybe but thats hardly a complaint.
I really like the softness of the water.
    Great stuff.

That is an excellent pic - I like the darkness on either side, the surface of the water & bits of colour in it too, also the hint of colour in the sky. The only criticism I can think of would be that it may be improved if the hill area directly centre of the picture in the distance looked a fraction more colourful. Still a great shot and some cool processing too.

You already know I like it, so no need to repeat myself ;)

In that case, I'll be a bit picky - see how you feel about a couple of things:

Is the edge of the vignette a little bit hard, possibly? There's a hint of banding in there where it gets lighter and meets the water - I know, I sound like a broken record about that stuff but once you notice it, it's very difficult not to see it all the time.

The colour of the reflection in the water seems slightly more turquoise than the sky, but I'm not sure if that's actually how it came out on the shots originally? The bright spot in the reflection also seems brighter than the actual sky, so might need to balance one or the other up a bit, maybe.

I didn't get any pictures from that scene so I hardly feel like I qualify to say things like that, but wondered if it was stuff you'd thought about yourself anyway...?

I may have gotten a tiny bit carried away with the vignette. The reason the banding is kinda obvious was cos I went over it a few times with the burn tool... I think. Yep, I did change the colour of the water, it was slightly dull.

Btw guys, I got the canon 350D today. :)

Thanks for the c&c from everyone too.
