I can't for the life of me find this info on the web.

Stupidly I forgot to check what terminals I'll be arriving into London and heading out from with the connecting flight. So I have booked a ticket without thinking about the Heathrow ramifications..

How quick and easy is it to get from Terminal 1 to Terminal 4 these days? It's been so long I can't remember. I know T4 is far away from the rest and I recall having to get some stagecoach to transfer us between terminals, I'm hoping that this isn't the case anymore :(

You still get a bus. It obviously depends on the time of day as to how long the whole process takes. The bus is no problem, it's the possible queues at security.
How long between your flights and can you check in for the second flight before you leave Dublin?

    hehehhe

I had this open on another tab

http://riken.nd.rl.ac.uk/ral/travel/heathrowroadmap.gif assuming you have you bags, its about 30 mins from each terminal to another with connecting buses etc:

I going from 1 to 3 have to get this

07 September, 12:35, London London Heathrow Apt Terminal 1
    OUTWARD FLIGHT: SK0504, SCANDINAVIAN AIRLINES
07 September, 14:05, London London Heathrow Apt Terminal 3

Go to Parkour forum for best examples on how to get thru heathrow :d

    30 minutes? FFS!

I can check through fortunately. I have one and a half hours from landing to departing so I've got a good chance of making it. Right?!

Thanks for the info KdjaCL. Funnily enough my query is for Denmark also.

So you can walk to each terminal via the underground?

Don't walk to the underground to terminal 4!!!! There's no walking connection on the underground from T1,2,3 to T4 - if you want to take a train get the Heathrow Express, they'll carry people for free from T1 to T4 and it's quick. Will take at least half an hour though including getting out of departures, down to the trains and out the other side. Be prepared to run!

I came through T1 on Saturday, I've never been through security at Heathrow so quickly but they're VERY strict about what you can carry! I had to take the laptop out of my bag so it would fit into the luggage size check thingy and carry it through security - bit of a waste of time but at least I was able to bring it :-)

Yes Gordon get the heathrow express...

The security queue at connections will be very very long though,I did it last week.
Tell the nice people that your connection is tight and show them your boarding card and they will let you past the queue and straight through.Iirc you'll only go to there if you take the bus connection between terminals and its not sign posted, you''ll have to ask where it is)

The other option is actually to go out into arrivals(which iirc you'll be doing anyway when taking the heathrow express) when you get to terminal one and re enter throught the main Terminal one security gate as if you'd just arrived at T1 and this was your first flight.
You can do that and the queue is usually much shorter with more machines open.

Again Dont throw away your incoming flight boarding card and show it and your next flight bc to the people at the security queue if you are running late and they will let you through.

I have done it a few times and always come out of the arrivals turn right and take the lift down to the Heathrow Express for one stop to T4 , it was often quicker than going through flight connections when you get to T4 take lift up to departures then head through security. Flight connections is a joke the ques are often very long so I never use it anymore.
