I have uploaded some bird pictures here.

What do you think about them.

If anyone knows how the first 3 birds are called, could you please tell me.

Nice work, very clear. I normally know birds, but haven't a clue what this one is. :) Post a pic in the nature and bird watching forum and they will be able to tell you.

1st one's a Waterhen, 2nd one's just a Parrot I think, and the third is a Cockatoo (thanks to Kenan & Kel) Our waterhen's have red beaks I think, any I've seen anyway..

Btw, I'm not into birds at all, suprised I knew any of them..

    Nice!
I like the landing seagull shot - just because it is a bit different!

    Hey mdebets

Nice shots love the red in the second shot

Feel free to disagree but the focus in all the shots except 3rd is on the birds body and not the head you can see this clearly in the first pic I always think birds look better fully in focus or just the head in focus.

Which lens/cam did you use ?

    Seb.

The first one is a Moorhen, the red bird is a female Eclectus parrot (the males are green), the cockatoo is a Sulphur-Crested Cockatoo.

Thanks to you all for naming the birds. I like the sight of birds, but am really crap at naming them, especially in English.

You're right, they were supposed to be in focus, but I'm still lerning and these ones were some of the better ones I took

I like the seagul, I've commented on flickr. :)

How do you find that lens?

It's ok for the price. I have to use high ISOs very often, especially when i zoom in fully, with the Irish light, but this isn't too bad.
The macro function however isn't very good it probably would be better if Sigma would remove it and make the lense cheaper or add some quality.
