B\W Landscape for C&C

    I had to take the photo below as a request from a friend and need to get it printed before the weekend. Would appreciate any C&C or any tips on how to improve it etc. It has to be B&W as its part of a set but any comments are welcome

    I would probably try a levels adjustment on the sky.

    Just be careful with the levels on those areas of smooth tones, in case you get posterisation/banding. Unfortunately, and unhelpfully, I can't tell you the best way to avoid it, apart from simply watching out for it and backing off the adjustments if it starts to happen...

    P.S. Since it's not totally blown out you can recover a lot of the sky detail using the shadows & highlights tool - it will also bring the shadows up in the bottom half a bit too.
