How long does it take to get connected to Broadtalk? I have a VoIP router and NTL broadband, so I signed up last night to Broadtalk and stuck a fiver on the pay as you go option.

I thought I'd get an automatic reply with the details I need to connect, but I didn't. Any idea how long it takes to get the account info?

I'll tell you this now. Don't waste your time. I asked them a similar question over the phone when I was setting up a business account a few weeks ago. The guy told me that they aren't interested in the residential market at all and there is a huge backlog of payments to be processed. there is no money in it for them. Simple as that.

Get in touch with broadtalk and cancel your payment. Then I'd get in touch with ANY other VoIP provider and give them your money. Personally, I'd go with Blueface. They seem to be on the ball.

I would have to disagree, I was with blueface for a few months now. Stopped paying it and signed up for Broadtalk about 2 weeks ago and "stuck a fiver in it". I then put all the configurations in the Linksys ata unit and my account was active instantly. Only thing though is that I have to wait 30 days in order to get an incoming 076 number.

Are we all talking about the same provider, www.broadtalk.ie?
    My order was instant!

    Yes, Broadtalk.

I signed up, and got a "Welcome" message. No account details, no phone number. Then I topped up with a fiver. Got an "Order Process" email, just showing that I've sent them a fiver. No account details.

So I don't have any settings to configure my VoIP router. Sent them an email - no reply.

Just cannot be bothered with that sort of service anymore. I'll try and get the fiver back, probably won't though. Thankfully it was only a fiver.

Signed up for freespeech.ie, and instantly got an 076 number without paying a cent. Works for incoming calls. They require a €20 top up to start making calls out, but I'd prefer to give them €20 over Broadtalk seeing as I already have a functional line from them.
