If you need to raise the level of your site by a metre dont use topsoil ffs!!!

Topsoil is not a structural fill type material and will cause probs later because
    A) it won't drain if placed at this depth
    B) you'll defo not plant a foundation on it of you want to build.

If its only 90m3 , thats 10 lorry loads ( 8 wheel truck 20 odd tonne / load , 10m3) just ask around various building sites, contractors are always looking for handy tips.

Be V careful of this approach, you will get crap if u dont know what u are at.

As asked, why do u need this soil?

hi we were refused planning on a site due to bad drainage. we opted for a reedbed system but planner didnt like it and would be willing to grant pp if we imported soiled and retested drainage.
(this is part of proposed perculation area so we are not building on it)

why not use half landfill and half topsoil? or 70% 30%?
best way to get it free is lorry drivers that tip, we knew someone when we bought we got about 25-30 loads of really good fill to raise an area that was pulled from old roads etc... mix of 804 size rocks with sand to massive concrete boulders, great filling.... solid and can build on top of it

Be careful though cause some lads will any old ****te though if you give them a chance
