Ghosting on TV

Not sure if this is the right place for this but can't find anywhere more suitable. Feel free to move.

I have NTL basic analog package, and use signal booster adaptor to send signal to various TVs around the house. In kitchen I have 15" Bush LCD TV which receives very good signal. In another room I have 26" Philips HD ready LCD, but this one suffers from terrible ghosting. Faint trace of last frame remains. Particularly bad during fast moving shows like sports. Bush TV does not have this problem.

Is there anything I can do about this. Philips TV was 3 times price of Bush.
Is there a better coax cable I can use?
Can NTL be asked to help or provide a solution?

That sounds like it may be down to the poor refresh rate of the Philips LCD TV if it's a ghost of the previous frame. If this is the case, I doubt if there's much you can do.

You could Google your Philips model number and find a Technical spec for the screen, see what the refresh rate is?

Try switching tv's and see what happens. Could be the TV with the ghosting is tuned just slightly off the channel. If all points are wired from the same amplifier/ distributer then all points should have the same strength and clarity of signal unless there is some crossing of wires in the socket / co-ax connections.

IMO Check the tuning as suggested and then check all connections.

    Might be a bad connection.
Are you using a proper splitter/distribution amp?

Yeah the splitter is fine. The reception was perfect on a Philips CRT that was there before. I think the LCD TV seems to be particualrly sensitive to any deterioration in signal quality

You need a HD LCD for ordinary TV. The lower resolution ones create artifacts.

The HD ones mostly have wrong or too low resolution for HD!
