    Hey,

    Im having a bizare problem with MS Word Mail Merge. Iv been given the task of printing out labels for Thank You cards (for a wedding) after doing them for the invatations. The thing is, while they look OK in the preview when they come out printed some are to close or go past the label margin so are no use.

    Iv no idea what could be causing the problem, and why the preview is fine. The paper is loaded correctly.

    Any thoughts?

    Make sure you have the correct label size set?

    As far as we can determine, we have the correct label sizes. Tho its not exactly straight forward with all this talk about Veritcal / Horizontal Pitch etc.

    Just use the Avery standard. That way you don't have to worry about pitch, etc. Assuming of course your label sheets have an Avery code on them.

    Whats an Avery code? :S

    My labels are "DECAdry PC Labels. OLW-4790(30 Sheets). 12 Labels/A4 (63.5x72.0) mm. DLW-1790 (100 Sheets)" (so is printed on the back of them o_O)

    Are you just accepting Word's default label setting.
    Go through the drop down list and see if one of Avery options matches yours for size and number per page. If not you can customise to match the labels you are using.

    I just got the information through the website for the label producer, via this program;

    http://www.decadry.com/En/downloadfree.asp?Soft=DECAGrids2003_EN.exe

    Very handy, added all the info to Word and I was able to print it AOK :D

    Cheers for trying to help lads. :)
