    Hey all,

I'm currently using a Linksys wireless router at home for wireless internet.

I have the router placed at one end of the house and coverage is excellent, coverage is very low at the other end of my house.

I got my hands on another Linksys router today. Is there anyway of using the second router as part of my existing network so that I could boost the signal at the far end of my house??

I could place it at a half way point so it could pick up on the coverage from the original router??

Check to see if the Linksys has a wireless repeater function. That should do what you want. What model is the Linksys?

    Hey,

    It's a WRT54G

You may be able to set the second wrt54g to operate in a wireless bridge format along with the first router. It should have significantly better gain with its onboard antennae than any laptop would have. The config is much like what MarkDunne has described.
