Where do all the Pennies Go? - Tribeca

So.... I have a spreadsheet that tracks how the STT's are going.

I put in all the stats, returns etc 50% 1st, 30% 2nd etc....... but it doesn't agree exactly with the cashiers page.

So basically losing a couple of 'pennies'/cents every few games ...... no big deal for one person .... but must add up to an awful lot of money somewhere along the line.
All the games and spreadsheet is in $ currency, so theres no currency deviation.

Anyone know where all the pennies go?

I've been seeing the opposite happen, my account going up an extra cent every couple of games - I seem to get $36.01 every time I finish 3rd in a $20 STT.

A few lines of examples? It is not something I have ever looked at tbh, but it sounds interesting.

Doubt it, that means he'd have to have cashed 56 times. :p;)

Really you would need to send a solid example as there is not much to go on here. I say with 100% certainty that we are not running off to the sweetie shop with anyones swiped pennies.

I never said you were. Not need to get so touchy about it. Armani Jeans has noticed it as well.

What I am saying with 100% certainty is that the balance in the cashier account does not correlate exactly with my spreadsheet .... as it should.... and I am losing a few cents every few games.

I've noted this on PPP also. Seems that I lose 1 cent more than the buy in every now and again. Never occured to me to check and see if I win 1cent extra also.

I would say there is a very simple answer to this. Sure the games are played in dollars but each time you buy into a game and cash out of a game there is an exchange rate. -ie: from Euro to dollars and back again. Some sites give you the same rate when you cash in and out of a game others will just go to the rate as it stands at that time. This would explain the discrepancies.

Surely the rate doesn't change by the time a STT is started and finished? (if this is indeed the explanation) .... and regardless, it is my dollar balance that is incorrect, I buy in at $, I get paid $ ...so my $ balance should be exactly correct.

I think Len is nearly correct, but its not a changing rate thats the problem.
Methinks the problem is that our accounts have € as its base currency.
So when you enter a $20+2 its not costing you $22, its costing you €17.3228 rounded to €17.33(if the exchange rate is 1.27) and the prizes are similarly rounded.

Its this using of € as the base and subsequent rounding which is leading to the situation where your account goes from say $100.50 to $150.49 after you've won $50.

I'm gaining a US cent because a fluke combination of the games I play at and my exchange rate on DailyStar(the Tribeca Skin I'm playing on now) is leading to positive rounding.

The above could all be boll1x mind you.

    hmmm

As far as I'm concerned, if I have $50 in my account, after paying a $10+$1 entry fee, and I win $45, there should be $95 in my account when the game is over, not $94.98

I must start tracking this myself. If the Tribecca software makes conversions during games when you have already gone through the conversion process to lodge the cash and will go through it again when withdrawing then it's ridiculous. Maybe theres a Richard Pryor character working for them.

It sure is riduculous ... maybe it's a penny sweet shop they are opening?
