Hoping to go to Galsgow early October for a couple of days.

Anyone with any good advice for good accommodation. Preferably very central as no car, and reasonable

Holiday Inn on Bothwell Street is fairly central.
Jury's Glasgow on Jamaica Street is right in the centre beside the train station.
Even cheaper is the Quality Hotel which is the same building as the train station.
You have the Holiday Inn Express on Stockwell Street which is a 5 minute walk from the train station.
If you want really cheap, the EuroHostel is about 15 quid a room.

There are a few more, but those are the usual ones I'd stay in.

Stayed in the Tulip Inn before. Its about 15 mins from the train station. Very nice hotel and the rooms are usually a little cheaper than Jurys for a better standard (imo) of room.

If you are going over a weekend and there is a Celtic match on Jurys tends to get booked up pretty quick as a lot of supporters clubs have block bookings there.

i just booked a place called the the alexander thomson hotel thru www.otel.com

cost for 3 nights for 3 people is 285euro

think its pretty reasonable considering its only a place to sleep when cant drink anymore.

is there 24hr drinking in glasgow
