I have a few questions i hope you can answer.

    1. Im using Mixcraft software, anybody used this is it any use?

    2. Im using a basic cheapest mic, have a really tight budget any recommendations on a new one (Im recording in my bedroom with mic plugged into laptop, recording 2 tracks, vocals and guitar)

3.Recording Studios in dublin, cheap and cheerful to record a demo?

    4. Is this any good http://artists.cpu.ie//play.php?band_id=1662&song_id=6515&mode=song_hifi

it was recorded as i said with just me and guitar in my bedroom with cheap mic and slight FX on mixcraft
I have a couple more songs and a few on the way
    thanks

    Never heard of the software.

Song doesn't sound so bad. Guitar sounds thin, but that's to be expected considering the cheap mic. You've definitely overcooked the effects on the vocal - ease up on the delay.

Look at samson audio/behringer for cheap condensor mics and preamps.

    Hope this helps

    1. No, never heard of it. Recommend maybe N-Tracks, I think it's about $39.

    2. You'll need a better a/d converter and preamp to get anything even resembling even demo quality (in my opinion). If you do not know what d/a or a/d converters are, or mic preamps. You need to do some research, plenty of info on the web.

    3. Trackmix is the only Dub studio that I've been in that is comparatively cheap and that I would also recommend. I know there is cheaper around though, but beware of cowboys.

    4. Nice song. You've got a nice voice. Sound quality is ok considering the recording chain you've described.

    Slight FX ??:D
