Find a (nasty) Bebo User

Guys,

This may be a shot in the dark but said i would ask anyway.

my brothers daughter (14) received a very nasty message over the weekend from someone that knows her in the area. I have an idea who it was as they done it before. The message posted was nasty and sexual and the guy that i think would have sent it is in his twenties.

When I checked the user page this morning the user had been deleted.

What I need to know.....is there a way that bebo will provide me with the details of the user that sent the message and if not me would they provide the gardai if it was reported and what process should be followed for either of the above to happen.

It's unlikely they'd give any information directly to you although it's possible they would give it to the Gardai.

Sounds like the user was deleted probably because they were being abusive and were reported.

bebo seems to hold information after a user has deleted their account, but i'm not sure if they'd be willing to share such information with you... might be worth a try though.

If you know information about the person , i.e. the age bracket or the place they live, then Bigulo should help you out.

Bigulo is a tool for searching social networks to help you find people. (e.g. 21 year old girls called Christine, 30 year old men in drogheda and the like.


For obvious reasons Bigulo doesn't allow you to search for under 18 year olds, and stores no information about those users.

In your particular case, something similar happened to my niece, a whole heap of disgusting messages were left on her myspace page, which she closed down, as myspace weren't too quick to help her out. I have heard of people getting other bebo users accounts shut down, but I am not sure if bebo provided the necessaries to take further action. I hope you get this resolved.

They should only release the personal information of a user (deleted or not) to a law enforcement agency (i.e. the Gardai). Have to tried bringing it to them?

When you recieve a Bebo message you get an Email from bebe saying the username / Bebo page login...

ie

This homepage has not been made public. The homepage can only be viewed by registered members.

he or she me 2/10 and made a very mean comment
(though it might just be some asshole who made a account calling themselves bebo rater and goes to ppl's pages saying crap)
