Fair play to everyone involved - it looks good, has good information, and is easy to navigate. Well done.

Wheres the link to the forum on it?

Btw, my mate anto could have done it for the price of a bag of chips and a half dozen dutchies.;)

They don't have one back up yet from what it says on the site.

Looking at that tcdlife.ie site it seems to have been set up to cover what's going on on campus wiht all the capitated bodies etc and even staff representation. There is nothing about Pubs on it though. Were Pubs told about it? I haven't heard anything and if not it is an incredible disgrace (and not the first time something like this has happened).

    Pubs? As in "DA Boozer"?

Sorry, Publications, I shouldn't have used the abbreviation! It's the only capitated body not on the site.

Yep, it looks fairly nice. I've a few pet peeves about how the layout is, but I'll never be happy about everything.

Forum isn't active yet, so says the info on the front page.

Andrew, just so you know, nothing was mentioned last year at the Capitation Committee about tcdlife.ie.

[new edit] Publications don't have a working website, do they?

I'm not surprised there was no mention at the capitations committee, a lot of these things seem to be organised informally at the exclusion of Pubs.

In regards to a Pubs website - There is not currently though there was one ready to go since around January. As I say I don't know if Pubs were contacted about this site (I doubt they were) but the absence of the site being up is no excuse for not involving Pubs as a) One was being made which could be linked to and b) information could be placed on the site without requiring an external link.

Also as the site appears to be hosting the SU website surely that option should be extended to the other bodies?

(By the way there will be a TN website this year with the address already bought)

As a slight aside, when will the papers be available to download as pdfs? Think of the trees, man, and think of the alumni who want to keep a finger in the metaphorical information pie.

I would assume they'll be on the site. I have all this year's ones in PDFs if anyone's really desperate.

How big are they? Wouldn't mind a copy.

I'm more interested in the upcoming ones, no point being ignorant of what's being done to my beloved mothership.

tcdlife server has been in the works for quite a while, its ISS's baby iirc, they wanted all the sites that were currently hosted on the main tcd webserver off it, due to potential exploits and having more people with access to the server than they would like...

They're pretty big as they're in the high quality versions I sent the printers - about 30MB for an issue with TNT in it. I can put them all onto a CD for you if you want?

Deadly, cheers. I owe you a pint for that.
