Did you see them at Pukkelpop?

Saw them play one song, Making Plans for Nigel. They were... different.

Caught about 1/3 of the set then left for a decent spot for Daft Punk, I enjoyed them! Hit & miss with some of the tracks but I'd say it'll be a nice relaxed night out

What you both said. Saw the poster for this at EP, looking forward to some Mark E. Smith action.

The Fall were quite good, better when people started moving. Short as fuck though.

    How were Nouvelle Vague?

I had to sell me Nouvelle Vague tickets cos it clashed with a 21st, yet to hear about it from anyone there

The Fall were ok, not great imo and for the amount of material they have to choose from and just do an hour set is ridiculous!!! Boo to them I say

I didn't go to either in the end, money is a bit short. Glad I missed The Fall if they weren't great.

I thought The Fall were great. The band were really together and Mark E Smith seemed a lot more engaged that the last time they played here in TBMC. Love the way they build up the sound and just when you think it's almost getting too tight Smith will do a bit keyboard doodling or knob dwiddling just to screw it up a bit. I'd watch that man all night - great mic technique, up their with Lydon for unique vocals and a side-parting! - what more could you ask for? Apart from an extra half hour I suppose. Great stuff.

Saw Micah P Hinson and his band last night in Whelan's. Despite having amp difficulties at the start they played a storming gig which the whole crowd got into.

Particular highlights were Patience and Don't You Forget About Me.

Nope, it's his own song. Sorry should have used the proper title which is Don't You.
