Knowing nothing about Pride apart from what the nutters on Sherdog post about i was really looking forward to this fight and now it seems it may not happen at all. I didn't like the way Master Rogan referred to Chuck having a possible upcoming fight with wanderlei and then for them to parade Tito as the next fight. Long time reader first time poster in these boards and i wonder what Irish MMA fans think.

Yeah I've heard the same. I'd like to see Chuck fight Tito but I want to see Chuck fight Silva far more.

I wouldn't have a lot of interest in Chuck vs Tito 2 cause it will be like watching the first fight in fast forward i.e. same result only quicker. Wanderlei and Chuck is what everyone wants to see imho

According to some mma magazines such as fight talk and a few American mags the whole deal was a publicity stunt by Pride for a few reasons:

The no.1 being to keep the public interested after they lost their TV contract in Japan

There were also problems because of how the 2 organisations weight their categories. Silva is a middleweight in Japan and a light heavyweight in America.
Little problems like this amounted to bigger ones.

Dana White should have kept his mouth shut until deal was completely finalised but he jumped in just to keep the crowd from boo-ing after ortiz vs shamrock 2 and to show everyone he is the saviour of mma and the UFC.

Ps I hate Dana....he's a jacka@s in my personal opinion.
