So Ferrari have said they'll announce their 2007 Driver line up after the race next Sunday, but who will it be ?? Is Schumacher going to hang up his helmet or partner Raikkonen ?

Not many options really, what do you think it'll be ?

Gotta feeling they'll announce all three, just to give schumacher some more thinking time to whether stay or retire... if he decides to retire, massa and Raikkonen, if he stays Schumacher and Raikkonen. Rumours have it, Raikkonen has signed two contracts, Ferrari the principal, Renault, the get out of jail free card..... Smart move if its true, Renault/ Bennetton usually announce their driver line up in August.. so they are holding out for something......

Renault put in a last ditch big bid for Schumacher, I reckon Ferrari will announce all 3, then shuffle them around.

My logic probably won't come true but I do find it odd that they're leaving the announcement until after Sunday's race...

would that be due to Schumacher planning to hang up his helmet and not wanting a distraction from the Italian media over the race weekend? If Schumacher was planning on racing in 2007 I'm sure it would have been announced before the race to give lets say a boost to the Tifosi over the weekend. I'm probably looking into nothing but I'm sure Schumacher and Ferrari would have quelled the retirement rumours sooner rather than later. Either way Schumi has definitely being considering it. If Schumacher is racing in 2007 it will be announced there and then on Sunday night. Schumacher/Raikkonen will NOT happen in 2007 esp. if 2007 would be his last season.

I'll still go with Raikkonen and Massa for Ferrair's lineup in 2007 but Sunday should be interesting!

Renault have confirmed HK in the second seat, so no room at that inn for Kimi.

Yep they confirmed Heikki Kovalainen today so all the pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together now, so it looks more and more like Schumi will retire this year. Apparently German paper Bild-Zeitung has claimed today that Willi Weber (Schumacher's Manager) has said Schumi will announce his retirement in the post race press conference this Sunday if he's in the top 3 or at 6pm otherwise.

    Schumacher & Raikkonen
i think they are going to say Schumi is contracted for nxt year but if he wins the title he will retire if he doesnt win it i think he might give it one last go, only back into the sport the last 3races as only got itv on sky bout 2months ago now

    Raikkonen & Massa
Raikonnen will be announced as a Ferrari driver next year, get the feeling Ferrari will give Schumi til year end/or when hes won/out of championship to make his decesion.

I would love to see Kimi against Micheal as team mates(there wont be team orders) but get the feeling schumi will chicken out.

Kimi and Alonso are goin to rule F1 for the next 5 years.

Hope you didn't money on that one ;)

Anyway its confirmed schumi is retiring from F1 and Raikkonen will join Massa for 2007 .. I personally reckon its a big loss from F1 anyway ... :(

MS will stay on @ Ferrari. They just haven't decided on a role for him yet. Are Jean or Ross planning on retiring?

I bet Montoya is kicking himself now, thinking he stood a good chance remaining in a McLaren seat for 07 since Raikkonen scarpered off to Ferrari..... fat chance of it now though,

To be honest I reckon Montoya would have left regardless ..

Wasn't it fairly common knowledge (although not confirmed) that Raikkonen was going to Ferrari before Montoya left ?

Anyway I reckon it was obvious he lost interest and motivation a good while now ..

He also said he and Ron Dennis never seen eye to eye after the whole broken collar bone incident. Dennis apparently believed the media rather than Montoya and the trust was broken.
