and what i need is a recommendation on the graphics card to go with this build.
Its an sli rig so would be looking for a single card which i can add a 2nd card to for upgrade.
Budget is about €250 but can stretch to €300

Typical your budget is 250 and mine is 2.50!

Get a 7900GT for €274 definitely a better buy in the long run vs a single 7600GT or SLI 7600GT, as adding another 7900GT into the mix with SLI later will make it even faster.

is it just possible to buy another 7900 later down the line or does it have to be an perfect match i.e. same card for sli to work or can it be any 7900?

Any 7900gt will work. Don't have to be from the same manufacturer.
