    Hello,

I'm looking for a VOIP service that is
    - cheap to call from regular landline numbers, and irish mobiles
    - cheap to receive calls from the above
    - cheapest calls to irish mobiles as possible
    - likewise landlines

I'm also looking for a suitable handset (cheap) for the above, that we can use with 2 (or just the 1) laptops that will be always connected using ntl broadband.

I'm hesitant to sign on for any reasonable large monthly fee, as don't know how much/little will use the service to begin with..

I've read the FAQ and looked at some of the available products for the irish market, but any personal recommendations would be great.

I'd suggest signing up to voipcheap.com for your outbound calls - 8c/min for calls to Irish mobiles! You can start by putting €11.60 (€10 plus German VAT) into the account by PayPal or by credit card, and going from there.

That'll only work for outbound calls - but you don'y need to use the same provider for inbound and outbound calls - check freespeech.ie for a free 076 number to experiment with inbound calls.

Yea, I could probably forego a number for a while (ppl can ring the mobile no's anyhoo).
Could anyone recommend a good headset for a reasonable price that can be both online or around dublin CC?
