Only thing i'd change is the sata hd. Get 1 with 16mb cache. You might want a better cooler if your gonna oc. You've no processor listed, which 1? All else is cool. Nice rig m8. :D

I'll be getting a E6600 from a mate in Shannon if you know what I mean :)

I wona G7 off of the Nvidia website a while back and just bought the mousepad here : http://www.cshyde.com/Excess%20Inv%20Sale.htm

As regards the 8MB cache on the hard drive .. its purely for storage/downloads and I have the Raptor aswell so it wont bother me.

Is the Orb not powerful enough for overclocking ? (should I want to do it) it gets a great review Here & Here

    Thanks Guys

I suggested the orb when i was lookin for info for building my rig & was told to get a Zalman. Zalman perform better and blow the air out the exhaust fan. This 1: http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.asp?sku=312473

As regards oc'ing: I've got my E6600 at 3.2ghz. You'll probably go there in future. Serious fast. Super-pi 1m in 15.844 seconds. Invest in good cooling & a good case and you'll be able to as well.

I like the blue one too though, lol. Is the blue orb better than the stock coolers? I know it aint as good as the zalman, but is it worth getting over the stock ones...

Let me know how you get on with the ram.

Here's the link where the gskill tech confirms its (F2-6400PHU2-2GBNR) compatibility with DS3
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/Forums/archive/index.php?t-109529.html
    and again
    http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.php?t=84241&page=2

Another user mentions that it doesnt work with his DS4, make of that what you will.

Any particular reason why you're getting the DS4 over the DS3?
The heat pipe isnt particularly effective, pretty much the same as the DS3.

Zalman 1 looks cool also. Bit more expensive tho

To be honest the reason im getting the DS4 was because I was initially getting the DQ6 but then realised I didnt want the extra fearures (which are minimal) for the extra money so dropped down to the DS4

Haven't looked at the DS3 much ...however I would love to save money :) How do they pair up? Due to the DS4 not being available in the states I can't find much comparison on google between the two.

The reason I went for the orb is because its a good price, got good reviews, is pretty quiet and I verified it fits in the sonata II on a DS4. NOt bothered about how it looks just how it performs and how it sounds :)

I think the DS3 is the one to go for, the DS4 has a heat pipe (which isnt great) and another Pci-Ex slot limited at 4x which you'll probably never use.

Its only €10 between them so I wouldn't expect any difference is performance.

I went for the DS4 and blue orb just placed the order with kompplett :)

Now just waiting for a G-Skill tech to reply to my email confirming ram compatablilty and i'll order the rest.
