Will the old xbox controllers work with the 360 and if not can a converter be obtained? Im considering buying a 360 (as the PS3 seems a tad too expensive) but I dont fancy buying two or three new controllers when I have four fully functional xbox controllers.

Not as far as I know.

That's what happenes with new consoles. You have to buy new things.

Buy new things? Shocking ;) Its not so much the controllers that are the issue but I have a decent (and unfortunately expensive) arcade stick with a ps2 connection which works grand on the 360 with a converter. I might grab one of those xbox to usb converters on ebay and see if that works.
