How do I grow turnips?
I bought the game two days ago.
Will I be able to buy and grow turnips once tom nook's is done extending?

You buy turnips from a travelling turnip saleswoman who comes once a week (I think). Tom Nook will buy them for a different price every day, so you could make or loss money depending on when you sell them. If you keep them too long, you're stuck with a big pile of rotten turnips no-one wants.

A tip so your turnips dont rot...

Have a table in your room.Place a shovel on the floor beside the table.Stand on it.then try to put the turnips on the table.instead of them falling on the floor like they usually would they will go one the table.They last forever so youjust wait untill you get a good price at nooks.


Nooks prce changes every day at noon so you can check the price in the morning and then again in the evening.

So tabled turnips don't rot? Interesting. Too bad I bought 1100 of them this week though - I don't have enough tables!

Also are you saying there's 2 different prices every day, or that the one price changes every 24 hours at noon?

It's my quest to play the game without too much "cheating", i.e. not personally reading guides like GameFAQs or whatever (I've read the Wikipedia article, which only has a few hints), but only gaining info by other means (i.e. boards and real-life friends).

OK so Nooks opens at 8 in the morning (I think) and he has a turnip price at that time.
But the price changes at noon again so yeah you do get 2 different prices every day.

I made 2 million bells and I bought aroung 400K worth of then to begin with!!

I sold them at a price around 350.
