looking to get a decent pair of gloves (think fox are the brand he wants) for a friend's birthday. does anyone know if there's anywhere in Dublin that sells them, or have any suggestions on which are the best pair to get? if there's a better alternative, maybe you could let me know.

Ride magazine do tests on all types of bike gear and gadgets. They have done tests on bike gloves and give them a rating based on different tests such as

    waterproofness !!
    wrist restraint
    palm abraision
    etc.

They then rate the gloves and if they are up to the mark they get a Ride Triangle. Green triangle for Best Buy (taking cost into account aswell) and White triangle for Ride Recommended. I've bought plenty of gear on their advice and haven't gone wrong yet.

I should have this test in a back issue somewhere. PM me your e-mail address and I'll dig it out and send it to you.

I don't recall seeing the Fox brand in their tests.
